If we want to Win, Democrats have to run an anti-establishment, anti-corruption, pro-Government Reform campaign.
There is widespread distrust of our institutions/systems as many have failed to protect the most vulnerable among us.
(NOT a social issues campaign)

Pennsylvania early voting numbers always had me unsettled in 2024.
I felt that we were not performing strongly enough early.
Let's hope Virginia Dems don't repeat that mistake.
samshirazi.bsky.social
Both sides have areas they need to focus on in home stretch

Dems need to boost Black turnout in Hampton Roads, Southside, RVA for AG and House of Delegates

GOP needs rural voters in SWVA to show up by Election Day for AG race

Some of the close races could come down to turnout
samshirazi.bsky.social
Over half a million early votes now in Virginia

Wouldn’t be surprised if end up at around 1.5 million total early votes

Real question just Election Day votes being shifted or boosting turnout overall

2021 had 3.3 million total votes and we’ll see if more this year

Yes and I know it shouldn't be a factor, but I do believe age is a factor.

That's good info.
Her opponent needs to go on every possible news network in every possible market there and blow up that false perception by unmasking her deception.
This election won't be handed to him, he'll have to fight for it.

Let's not use this wonky beltway talk. Just tell it like it is.
Trump is FIRING public health officials.

BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:

Except for the Maine voters that keep re-electing her.

That exchange says it all, deflection instead of answers. It’s frustrating how often accountability gets lost in political point-scoring instead of focusing on the actual issue.

You let her go on, you reclaim your time and calmly and bluntly respond: That sure sounds like a lot of excuses for why you are still relentlessly protecting Jeffrey Epstein & his clients. Release the files!
jgrestore.bsky.social
This is so weak. I wouldn't have gone on national t.v. to say that...super embarrassing when democratic senators can't think on their feet.
jgrestore.bsky.social
My rep Jasmine Crockett would've said it.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Yet millions of Americans will confidently march into the polls booths next November and vote for these very same republicans to keep their offices.
jgrestore.bsky.social
It could, but less likely based on electoral history.
It is a must-win, but as it stands there are too many outstanding issues with nearly a month to go (an eternity in politics). Angry customers become less angry when you solve their issue (even if you are the cause of the issue, re: govt shutdown)
jgrestore.bsky.social
It's a lie.
When prosecuting high level officials, it has to be approved by the AG. At minimum she has to be notified of the impending action.
jgrestore.bsky.social
More realistic, yes, but talking about carrying someone over usually indicates that there'll be some underperformance and potentially crab barreling effects. Always something to be aware of.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Solid yes, but any scandal revelation could quickly evaporate such margins. Look at the MOE, and assume the race is right there.
So if the MOE is +/-4, then deduct 4 points from Spanberger's top line number. It'll make you work harder to ensure a win. Take nothing for granted.
jgrestore.bsky.social
None of those races had a Democrat winning by 10+ in fact, the highest was just under 9 points.
2ndly, the blowout was a win in favor of republicans in 2009. A 17-point victory is a blowout. An 8-point win, not so much.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Of course. You've always been my trusted source in that state, and I don't take it for granted!
jgrestore.bsky.social
No thanks. The republicans that are causing intentional harm to American families need to get together and choose to do the right thing.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Most non-lawyer voters wouldn't know what that phrase meant off the top of their heads, but that still doesn't discount the fact that he is an idiot.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Newsom won't be the nominee.
He'll be the iron that sharpens the eventual nominee in the primary debates, much as Hillary did with Obama in 2008.
jgrestore.bsky.social
Well the Attorney General won't bring charges, so....

Another super cool tool to track Virginia early vote

Still too early to draw big conclusions

But good to poke around and look at votes

Right now is a bit of lull in middle of early voting

Will really start to pick up in about 10 days as more satellite locations open

If we're doing this type of comparison it's helpful to note Dem Governor Roy Cooper's margin of victory in that same race.... 4.5%.
We can't say that Spanberger is likely to win by 10+ because it's a swingy state when it comes to the gubernatorial races. There's likely to be significant tightening.

Considering the fact that slavery was still firmly in effect decades after the 1st amendment was put in place is quite telling.
