Never doubt the comforting power of creativity. We had two Brown students in our home for a while last night until their parents could get them. They played guitar and read Calvin and Hobbes. I know how upset they were, and it was also amazing to see how centering creativity can be. Also, F the nra.

The area around Brown University -- which is also where I grew up and now live -- is quaint and picturesque. A postcard version of a New England college town.

i have for real seen several different people in several different places talk about wanting to sue editors for fraud for either not reading fast enough or for suspected non-reading, and wow does that ever make me feel uncomfortable as a human being trying my hardest to human!

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
