Julia is competing in an Olympic style weightlifting event this morning. She’s on the platform warming up while eating cheesy poofs and seaweed chased by a monster. This is a net wash of good vs bad parenting, I hope.

Had a little fun today. Told the kiddo that based on the forecast, she could realistically expect the week off school. (She was over the moon.) I then explained that there are a limited number of calamity days, and she may need to make up these snow days in the summer. (She was LIVID!)

Here’s the thing, the execution of the case doesn’t need to be well done. It drains resources from the defendant, it causes stress, and hurts the defendants public image. It’s a master class of how to inflict maximum harm without technically doing anything.
