He had rebuke in hand. That wrath getting countered was instant loss. He untapped and warps emissary putting kappa to 8 which is why I was terrified of shocking because it put me to 9. I had solitude to kappa and that left his board at just 1 land. Just bopped him with clarion from there.

Took down affinity to end the day 7-2! They were nail biters. Wrecked game 1. I went seize into wop wop game 2 and he was on 1 basic and couldn’t draw out of it. Then game 3 turn two high noon slowed him to a crawl and I learned after I won because I shocked at a very hard time to wrath with 3 up.

Lost round 8 to prowess. I took good hands both game and they had slow hands with turn 2 Cori no trigger. But the deck just sent me air after opener. Never saw an overlord. Riddler rotting in my hand probably killed me game 1.

Round 7 Titan again. Game 2 got to wisp end step ephem wisp to knock them down to 3 mana for pact. Game 3 I slapped ashiok down and watched the light drain from their eyes.

Got titan round 6. Game two I felt bad because I missed an interaction that needed a judge call and they made a decision on it that probably lost them the game. They upkeep surveiled lotus field to yard then cast Titan with exact mana using dryad arbor. Problem is I had clarion out.

Picked up my first loss against through the breach eldrazi. Just an atrocious matchup for me. Need to slow down because I also tried to use Teferi with clarion out because I felt the game was over.

Took down zoo playing phelia riddler. Player I’ve been running into a lot and we both are sure we’ve met before. We had a great fun match and chatted a good bit after.

Got Jeskai blink in 2. He took a triple rag hand game 2 and I took one hit off the third and otherwise killed all of them. Drew triple overlord. Solitudes every riddler before the trigger except the last one when I had bowmasters out.

Got titan in both post board games round 2. Was one turn slow on the draw. Clarion and ashiok locked games 2 and 3.

My round 1 opponent just wanted the promo and instantly dropped. We take those. He was on a spicy living end build with goblin dark dwellers.

Any chance you could try and split Esper Blink into Solitude and Subtlety variants? They're practically different decks most of the time. Although dingo is complicating it a bit.

Had been feeling really stressed about deck choice for houston then a friend smacked me and said just play the best deck you have reps on. Registered with 1 second to spare for the challenge today, bubbled to 12th on breakers at 5-2. my round 4, 5, and 6 opponents all made top 8.

I want to watch this at some point, but something I’ve felt strongly about is that a huge number of the issues we are having right now have almost nothing to do with UB, and everything to do with aftermath super bombing. And probably also a little with MH3 blowing up modern.

This is the fucking problem with dehumanizing people. I get people are angry, and expressing anger can be healthy.

When it's done in a way that targets people there are going to be consequences and that is a problem

This is why I was concerned about that original post.

I worry that the worst kinds of people will latch onto the 'pigs and slop' language to harass both Wizards & players.

I've seen it before. I worry that this is how a fandom splinters. Usually the next step is bad actors monopolising on it.

Between there only being a single modern spotlight series I believe, the modern pro tour being top 8 draft, and only one modern rcq season, I’m fairly annoyed. I also expected more spotlight series events in a hope they’d work back towards old GP frequency but not quite that many.

As far as I can tell it comes down to quality of execution almost every time. If Spider-Man had been built as a normal set from the beginning and was done well I think it would have been far better received. 40k commander decks vs doctor who as other examples both successful and not.
