Reader beware. I am actually a failed youtuber that'll use the fame and clout I gain on bsky to market my coming silly video experiments to.

All in good fun of course!
Allright. Now I have set up a crossposter. So. I can post here (on mastodon) and have it posted on bluesky.

Why? So I can have both of these going.

And I'll go towards self hosting my mastodon soon as well.

Why? Masochism... Mostly.

One uncomfortable question that has entered my mind:

As America is becoming more and more irrationally hostile to anything foreign. How long until a site like Bluesky is forced to comply with wild federal law?

Where can we move our accounts when that boot is put down?

Alright. Recently been diving into learning coding again. Python and such now. Thought I might as well learn to use Git and set up my repos. ..

A couple of days later and I'm deep into controversy lore around GitHub, CoPilot, Gitea and the origin stories of Forgejo.

I chose codeberg.org btw...

My rock suddenly got wifi for a few seconds.

Been seeing a lot about "substack". And I was wondering what it is. Quick googling says,,, it's a platform where people write newsletters for paying subscribers...

Excuse the ignorance here but..

People actually read newsletters?

Galaxy brained thought here...

Why do we call it weight LOSS. Implying failure. And not like, bloat reduction?

Ok. Weight problems go both ways, so involuntary unhealthy reduction in body mass should still be using the loss monicker.

But as an overweight guy. Saying "losing weight" feels wrong.

In a future date, I would love to revisit the US. I even wanted to plan to go and watch the new moon landing takeoff at the Space Centre in Florida.

But I guess posts like these might not be helping my future ESTA application...
There's an old joke I've heard from armchair war historians, that the Allies didn't want to assassinate Hitler during WWII, citing fears that if he died, the Germans might replace him with someone competent.

That's my fear. That Trump would just be replaced with someone even worse for the world.

Yesterday I saw another one. And not only was the number of perforations wrong but the orientation of the film strip itself was wrong throughout.

A very pedantic video essay is brewing in my head.

Just found out there's a Densha De Go Plug n Play fan translation patch that seems easy enough to apply.

Now I'm looking up e-bay listings.

I don't need this expense!

Watching a weird version of Goldeneye, seeing Pierce Brosnan, sitting in a military transport plane. His commander (not M, a tall man) walks in, stating "Today is the day. Today, it's this day."

Then, I woke up.

I guess my brain wanted a new David Lynch movie or something.
