This is an important case for students with disabilities, but there is one way the federal government could help. Fully fund #IDEA! The government currently gives about 15% instead of the promised 40% per student, causing a heavy financial burden on states.

Thank you for spelling this out so clearly. The Jewish people are being scapegoated to benefit clearly unconstitutional actions by the administration. Beyond the paternalistic “we are protecting the Jews” it seeks to alienate Jews from their allies.

In 2021, McConnell successfully filibustered a Democratic CR ahead of a government shutdown and forced them to accept a clean one instead. What happened this week - a total cave on a totally partisan long-term funding bill - hasn’t happened in the 20 years I’ve covered Congress.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
