Are any of those little LED projectors that cost around €100 actually any good?

Ideally ones available in Europe, on not-Amazon (for me that probably means at MediaMarkt or Saturn).

Or are they all rubbish? I am no audioviz enthusiast so I mean, passable quality is OK with me!

This PR and the author’s comments are incredible. https://github.com/ocaml/ocaml/pull/14369

Just a complete lack of critical thinking about the tool. Even if LLMs are generally valuable this is clearly not a helpful approach on multiple levels.

Plus suspicion of public bodies using AI to process consultation responses.

If AI becomes a byword for laziness, exploitation, and lack of care, how will that affect where it's adopted, attitudes towards those who use it? And will that matter, or will we just be resigned to it?

The scale of the damage at the British Library is difficult to fathom from the outside. Working in the wreckage of the hack has made me even less sanguine about the digital age into which we have leapt feet first.
I’ve written a piece on the curious lack of media and political interest in the issues faced by our national @britishlibrary.bsky.social. This is strange given we live in a world where ideas, knowledge and research are a long-term source of innovation and insight

The widespread indifference to the British Library's crippling cyberattack demonstrates a perilous failure to value the knowledge infrastructure vital for national prosperity

The difference between M&S, the Co-op, Jaguar Land Rover and the British Library is that only the latter was created by an act of parliament.

A cyberattack preventing part of the UK state from functioning in the way required by law deserves a different form of attention and scrutiny.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.

Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.

You were incredible, Alice Wong, and it was a blessing to have collaborated with you on projects, to have read your words and to have heard your voice, as full of life and passion and joy and rage as it was.

You made a difference—so much of a difference.

Rest always in peace, and always in power.
