I played and beat Bubsy on the Switch's SNES app today. Afterwards, I used some of the dark energy radiating from my body to create a Bubsy-fied version of myself. I aplogize for putting this onto your feed. #pixelart

Been meaning to do a follow-up of my Peach drawing for a while. Here's an interpretation of NES Zelda!
Pixel art interpretation of the sprite of Princess Zelda in a blue dress from The Legend of Zelda on the Famicom Disk System and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

In Super Smash Bros., the skeletons visible when characters are hurt by electric attacks are not tied to specific animations, and instead are a form that can be toggled on and off at any time, including in cutscenes. Below are excerpts of the game's intro, with skeletons.

Isn't ADHD the best?

"I need to look up a video as a reference for what I'm drawing - oh, the Interior Crocodile Alligator freestyle is in my recs, let me listen to that for the 100th time"

"Wait, what was I doing?"

I had a dream where I lived next-door to a movie theater and I wish this was my reality. If my house was right next to a movie theater I would go to the movies literally every single day. #joedreams

Exactly two non-white people mentioned on the entire chart.

I was reminded of this r/movies survey from 2017 and I genuinely forgot just how bad it was.

"95% male 5% female"

Jesus.

Had a dream a while back in which I discovered the existence of the "Grave of the Fireflies/Super Mario World 2-in-1" for the Wii. It basically functioned as a DVD except for a "special features" section that literally only had an SNES emulator playing Mario World. It went for absurd prices on eBay
The cover for a fake Wii game consisting of both the 1988 Studio Ghibli film, Grave of the Fireflies, and Super Mario World; both are represented on the cover, the former by the poster of Seita carrying his sister Setsuko across a field and the latter by the artwork of Mario wearing a cape and riding Yoshi. The cover promises "TWO classics in ONE!".

All the gratuitous violence in Bananza had me thinking... Wouldn't be MONDO COOL if I combined a 90's Capcom style fighting game with Donkey Kong?! Let's call it "Donkey Kong: Jungle Rumble"! A girl can dream...

Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

This one would also make my list. Having this little faith in the intelligence of the average viewer under 40 just enrages me.
A Letterboxd Review of After Hours that reads:

"People who do not remember the 1980s must be absolutely baffled by this movie. He loses his money? Why doesn’t he just go to an ATM? And why don’t these people just text each other? What is a subway token?

I guess you could call After Hours dated; I prefer to enjoy it for its documentary qualities of New York in this era. Also enjoyable: Griffin Dunne’s unibrow."

If I were to compile a bottom 10 of my least favorite Letterboxd reviews, this would probably make the list.
A Letterboxd review of Zack Snyder's Justice League:

Martin Scorsese having tears in his eyes, opens his notebook and scratches out a single word:

The Japanese Mario 64 official strategy guide is an incredible thing. "Can we make little hand-made dioramas of all the levels?" "Sure, why the hell not."

Re-reading Calvin and Hobbes strips as an adult got me to realize how little of an impact Hobbes makes. I think as a kid I read it for the cute tiger, but now I realize it's really about Calvin being a problem child and Hobbes is just kind of there.

the degree to which every company spending billions chasing AI, a business which isn't yielding any net profits, will squeeze the customers in their other businesses to compensate, is going to be the story of how many of them collapse in the next few years.

I remember playing Super Mario Maker 1 and seeing a level called "Thwomp and Circumstance", and the fact that I didn't play it has haunted me for years.
