The whole idea of “Girlfriend plays x game!” is so unbelievably absurd in the worst kind of way. As if “girlfriends” aren’t the type of people to play or like video games or could possibly be a gamer due to their relationship title/identity.

I wish people would just do better.

Too many of these “gifts” end up at the shelter .
A Dog/Cat is a gift we give ourselves and they come with many
sacrifices.
Time, money, and a certain amount of collateral damage in their puppyhood.

7. Healthcare coverage is essential for trans people. While many transition-related medications are generic and not especially costly, required lab work can quickly put care out of reach for anyone on a tight budget. For transgender people who need surgery, the financial barriers are even steeper.

There was a time when I never thought about RFK, Jr, or Kash Patel, or JD Vance, or Stephen Miller, or any number of these other fucks. And there will be a time when nobody ever thinks about them again. And I sincerely hope we all live to see that time.

1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.

We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.

This Trans Day of Remembrance, my heart hurts thinking of all the people we couldn't carry through to the other side of this moment in history.

Amidst all the fighting we've done for our community, amidst the unshakeable belief that we will win in the end, grief still takes hold.

In writing about transgender people every day, I hold in my heart the people who are now our ancestors, and I try to bring their light forward.

Watching the Epstein survivor admit that she voted for Trump really fucked with my head. The brainwashing against the left that apparently people endure from birth, must be way deeper than I ever imagined. A victim voting for a rapist, who has also been accused by 26 other women? Over a woman? WTAF?
