Okay new rule: if you respond to my jokes with advice and I don’t know you, I’m blocking you.

Good morning, by the way.
Listen, I know I am late on this but I finally let my phone install iOS 26 and I just cannot understand how anybody anywhere looked at this Liquid Glass nonsense and thought “Yes. That.”

I watch the bulk of ashleythebaroness videos, despite rarely sharing them.

But this one hit today.

And she's right! We're not dealing with some foreign ideology. We're dealing with a uniquely American phenomenon.

My new journal showed up in last night's mail and on the one hand there's always something exciting and hopeful about starting a new journal but on the other hand, now I'm in that part of the year where my journal hasn't accumulated any stickers yet.

It just struck me that Third Way Dems are just a continuation of that performative 90s apathy where we all stood around in high school pretending not to care about anything because we were afraid of having feelings

I’ve been struggling all day and when I got home I kind of fell apart a little, but then my partner listened to me and opened the window so we could hear the evening birdsong, and maybe that’s all I needed to get through another day

I got my first queries of the year on Friday from people who want a spot on my show. I haven't released a new episode in almost a year, but I also don't know how to say to anyone or even myself that maybe I'm just not going to do it anymore.

I love José's poems, and there's a lot to love about this collection—I think the poems individually and collectively feel like a thinking through of a lot of different things. But I think I love the love poems most. bookshop.org/p/books/prom... #BookThoughts 📚💙

Everything is mostly awful but this morning I overheard my relatively conservative coworker with no history of activism mention being at an anti-ICE protest over the weekend, and that really does feel like a sea change to me

The tragic death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year old mother fatally shot by ICE, shows that ICE can’t be reformed and must be abolished.

I’ll be introducing the Abolish ICE Act as a step toward justice, accountability, and humanity in our immigration policy.

Time to melt ICE.

We budget $300 a month to buy food for hungry neighbors. We go to Costco and load up on canned goods & as much produce as we can afford. Groceries are more expensive now. For the first time since 2020, we've had to leave the pantry empty and watch people come to get food and go away empty-handed.
I have a food pantry in my front yard. It is used heavily. We can't keep it full & could use some help covering the cost of shelf-stable supplies. No one is using this pantry unless they need the help. We supply beans, oatmeal, onions, etc. It's not gourmet food.
