Something I never once said for my first several decades. The Lions are an excellent watch.

Never be tricked into thinking you might care about your alma mater's football team again.

The equivalence of interest to me was equally punitive intentions harbored by each enforcement body. Obviously filming the signals of future football opponents isn't equivalent to banging a rubbish bin to signal a changeup. Knowing the pitch is perhaps the highest-WAR cheat in team sports. Cheers.

At first sight years ago my pronunciation of WAB defaulted to rhyme with cab, dab, or jab, not mob, sob, or lob. Happy to bow to the usage of the crowd, but let's get clear on this and not have another GIF thing.

Late to this bandwagon but this is irresistible storytelling on a topic so big it can get missed. Somewhere Joan Didion is smiling.

Chatted with Eamonn about some stuff (mostly expansion but also the country folk music scene). Give it a listen! I'm excited about what this group is doing.

With 2 people, it wasn't a roundtable just a table, but nonetheless a fun convo about the merits of expansion, which itself may get tabled for another year.

I hosted a roundtable discussion with everyone who agrees with me that we should expand the tournament.

Perhaps you'll be persuaded by what @kenpom.com‬ and I say. If so you'll boost our club's membership by 50 percent. johngasaway.substack.com/p/ken-pomero...
Ken Pomeroy and I still believe
No, really, expand the field

Find someone that loves you the way my very excellent and kind onetime fellow scribes love 68.

Did not see this coming when 68 happened.

Hope I’m wrong but hate seeing that snap.

Like its subject "Long Promised Road" is both excellent and quite sad. (Also yet another instance where Springsteen's interviewed and is tres insightful about a very, very different musician's work.)

The easiest way to hurt your rebounding differential is to force a lot of turnovers.

Also said almost word for word in 1984. The 75-year-and-counting explosion in baseline media rights values of course dwarfs any marginal gain to be had from another game or three. A big beautiful straw man.

This is after all what occurred the last time the field expanded significantly. (From March.)
