Not one more cent for DHS and ICE. We have the power to end this.

I agree that no one deserves to die at the hands of cops, even if they are a suspected violent criminal. But I also think that it’s worth hammering that they killed someone who worked as an ICU nurse at the VA. There are still a hundred million Americans who are on the fence or don’t care.

Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

It's about time. Moulton is imperfect but I will always and forever appreciate him taking a stance like this right now. Every single elected Democrat should be doing the same. Every single human should be doing the same.

I’m 1-2 (non-alcoholic, it’s January) drinks away from saying the biggest threat to college basketball isn’t NIL or G League players but instead how bad and out-of-touch so many of ESPN’s commentators are on these games. I’m floored by some things I’m hearing.

I’ve got real hate in the heart for the clickbait meteorologists out there who kept saying “no it’s really going to be 10+ inches of snow.” Meanwhile the ones who every zoomer thinks is unc or chopped or whatever that actually work for TV stations was right. We will learn nothing from this

Forgot to bring this one over here: if you like dominance and a lack of opening weekend upsets, the 2026 NCAA Tournament sure looks like it‘ll be for you…though I’ll wager it looks more like 2017 (1, 1, 3, 7) than 2025 (all 1s). www.basketunderreview.com/the-future-2...

Really troubling news here. I'm finding out that people have read Pitchfork at any point in the last 10 years.
I'm all for publications finding ways to keep the lights on, but...this is a choice.

This is so so so stupid. This guy basically sued to get back into college basketball, and was allowed to do it, because he missed out on the NIL pie when he was playing. Too fucking bad. How about getting a real job, loser?
NEW: Charles Bediako has been granted a temporary restraining order and is immediately eligible to participate for Alabama basketball.

Bediako is a professional player for the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League.

At this point I’m ready for a coach to rip out whatever slim threads of morals they’ve got left and see how far they can push the definition of “eligibility.” God willing, we’ll have a 29-year-old sophomore who’s tired of being an NBA 11th man.

Not falling for the "Watching the Olympics and rooting for the athletes you recognize is BAD" take. That's bait. I won't fall for it.

We are in extreme I'll Believe It When I See It territory with this incoming winter storm. The record for anywhere I've lived in my lifetime in TN is 9", if this actually goes north of 15" it is hilarious and catastrophic.

Insane decision to kick it. The game state now encourages Miami to be uber-aggressive whereas going for it and failing means Miami just has to (and would, knowing Mario!) play for the FG. Either you go to OT or you win right there. Now you can lose in regulation.
