It’s a shame the only nice and sweet boy on the USA men’s hockey team is being used as a 4th liner but he scored anyway!
Beautiful deflection by Larkin my word

Faded Saka for Rice in FPL not because I dislike or doubt Saka in any way, just rolling the dice on 1 differentiator from settled pro meta.

It's pretty funny that journalists come onto this website posting "this website fucking sucks" and then get mad when people are nasty in the replies. Like you started it bro lol

I think that the quality of engagement and conversation on that site depends entirely on what you post about. If electoral politics or the day's top headlines, it's a cesspool. If sports or pop culture, it's all engagement farming spam. Finance and economic policy somehow remains normal.
I would argue that the quality of the engagement, for me, is measured in the following way:

When I share something on X, I often (not always) am passively engaging with people who then refer back to what I've shared IRL conversations, text threads, etc. That's valuable for me.

My quick fix for social media is duration caps. Allowing content to be longer increases the likelihood that it will be annoying or evil. Twitter with character limits? Good. Vine with 6 second videos? Good. Remove these guardrails and you get only Digital Filth

I've come to strongly dislike viewing politics through this lens. You should vote for the candidates you like, rather than trying to guess what other people might like. And I think Bashear wrote about this because he's a Christian and it's important to him.

He's had plenty of time now to come back from his injury. And Cole Palmer still isn't producing, with Chelsea's hardest fixtures of the season coming up.

Last 2 RTs feel like contradictory takes but I don’t think they actually are. Entirely possible Palmer was playing when he shouldn’t have been for a couple months, but is now actually fit.

Chelsea really need that to be true with their upcoming fixture list, it’s nasty.

I largely agree with this but will just say this week is the first week Chelsea haven’t played midweek since November, Leeds was Palmer’s best performance of the season (1.1 NPxG+xA, 5 shots 4 shots assisted), and he said it’s the first time all year he’s felt like he can move properly

I've been a sports fan long enough to recognize all the signs of "dumbass trying to play through an injury that takes away everything that makes them good" and there have been few clearer-cut cases than Cole Palmer this season

The Cavan question is fascinating to me. Looking at Burden, he was +83.5% higher in the final third than the average AM. For comparison, Messi was +106.1% in MLS and no one else really got close.

Is Philly going to feed him the ball that much in MLS? No. So what transfers to the first team?

Just looked up Cavan Sullivan's MLS Next Pro stats and lol.

I think he'll be a pretty big contributor for the Union this season.

Struggling through a workout that is just absolutely nothing for me generally seems like a pretty sure sign that I should take the rest of the week off and try to get back at it next week.

6 straight weeks of trying to go harder every week while also in a calorie deficit has caught up to me.

I understand that the Premier League teams who bought strikers this summer were put off by the demands of Victor Osimhen’s agent. I don’t doubt that they were utterly ridiculous. But if they’d acquiesced to them, they would have Victor Osimhen.
