A multi-toned, piecework-seeming, dark-shaded boulder appears to be standing upright along the edge of a flat erosion channel in a desert-like environment. This pinkish rock face plays host to a colony of lichen of a radiating circular pattern, with deep orange shades on the outer band and pale cyan colored growth on the inside of the arc. Several smaller patches of orange lichen populate the upper portion of the boulder.
