Now for the harder part. Trimming 3m high beech hedging which divides sections of the garden. It’s a very good wind break though so worth it.

Aha, the Party Piece. More lust than love I thought. Then again humanity is probably born more of lust than love. Now there’s an interesting dissertation topic!

His love poems arrived yesterday and I read the first 65 pages straight through. He writes (wrote) so freely, easily digestible and a welcome change from some of the turgid poetry that I have to read and re-read. Very enjoyable, although quite full of reflection, regrets and a bit of sadness.
