50501 Mobilizes for a National March In DC THIS SATURDAY, September 6th, And Announces a Second No Kings National Day of Action on October 18th
The United States — On September 1st, over 500,000 working people in more than 1,000 communities joined the Workers over Billionaires Coalition for Labor Day demonstrations. Now, the 50501 Movement is gearing up for two key actions. First, it is answering Free DC’s call for a National March in the nation’s capital, this September 6th. And then, on October 18th, the 50501 Movement will be joining communities around the country for a second No Kings National Day of Action.

Workers over Billionaires
“With over 1,000 events across the nation this past weekend, we showed that we can do what Trump can't; show up for workers and for workers’ rights,” said Gloriann Sahay, Chair of Political Revolution and 50501 National Partner.

On Labor Day, working people in all 50 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Sweden gathered in solidarity to demand that the American government end its complicity in the billionaire takeover; protect and defend social services for working people; fully fund schools, housing, and healthcare; and stop its attacks on marginalized people and laborers around the country.

We Are All DC
The 50501 Movement is calling on every person who opposes Donald Trump’s illegal occupation of Washington, D.C., to join us in the nation’s capital for Free DC’s We Are All DC national march this Saturday, September 6th.

“The National Guard in DC is a fascist circus of performative brute force that is meant to terrify the people,” said Sarah Parker, the Executive Director of Voices of Florida and 50501 National Partner. “But we are not afraid. We are mobilizing with local grassroots organizers and with the communities that are the most targeted, most impacted, and most ignored. We are rising up. We will not bow down to authoritarianism. I do think it would be amazing if hundreds of protesters just showed up dressed like ICE. They’d be absolutely baffled, they’d have no way to tell who’s who. They’re all dressed in off-the-rack Cabelas clothes since they don’t seem to have a standard uniform so it’s easy.
