I follow a lot of American politics, despite being British.

Why? It's because my wife resides in America, and because America has a huge influence over the rest of the world - especially the billionaires.

American politics therefore is extremely important, even though I am unable to vote.

We are gullible as a nation. It's why we left because over 50% of voters believed in an idiot. It's a matter of trust.

I do wonder what percentage of us would actually vote to rejoin but any mention of that being a possibility and the media and Farage would run wild to stop it.

The EU likely wouldn't allow us back in. We have proven ourselves to be an idiotic nation.

Also, in a sense, "make Brexit work" is implying that it isn't working because it isn't, and rejoining would be difficult.

Still, acknowledgement that Brexit has hurt us is a good step forward.

Thanks for this kind note. I hope to do something useful with this by Nov/Dec (new Ofcom powers, new EHRC chair). I'd like more women + ethnic minorities to go through (futile) process of reporting shocking stuff (eg rape threats, p-word, n-word) & share receipts with me of one egregious example

Freedom of Speech is weaponised to spread hatred and fear. It is conceptually good but flawed in practice, and played a role in getting Trump elected.

But under America's 1A, any preferential algorithms would be unconstitutional. That said, I don't at all trust the algorithms of X, YT and tiktok.

There are reasons to push for true democracy in Venezuela, but forcing a regime change is filthy and disgusting.

Yep. He didn't get it, but it was dedicated to him... So not a huge difference.

Mind you, María may only be doing it to get Trump to invade and overthrow Maduro but she may also have taken a few pages from Trump's playbook. Who knows but it's rotten to the core regardless.

Cheers. I've had blood tests and IVs before, usually just a tiny pin prick of a scab remains for a few days. The only bruising I've had is when my vitamin levels were low.
