And let me add, which people from Twitter know: I'm happy to engage with anyone who knows how to disagree without being disagreeable. But some folks just aren't willing or able to do so. It's a better world when they do!
After a silly exchange with a sarcastic, rude, know-it-all who won't sign his name -- Uncivilservice, I believe, was the handle -- in which I refuted his point with facts, naturally he blocks me, only proving my point about keyboard cowards.
Have a nice day.

And you should have read the book, because I did.
Several, in fact, from the NWS, the NOAA, UM's Naval Architecture school, and the founder of Michigan Tech's Great Lakes Research Center
Also, tough guy, sign your name. I do every time.
Have a nice day.

Just got done reading the new @johnubacon.bsky.social book in time for the 50th anniversary of the Fitz going down in the lake they call Gitche Gumee. As a 7-year-old when it happened, it seemed unfathomable that something like this could happen to a ship that big. Thanks for a great read.

This book destroyed me. An important story, dutifully told, diligently researched, and handled with care. I weep for the 29, but know their stories were honored in text. Can’t recommend this book enough.

We are holding our own. Always.

Looking back on Robert Redford's vast body of work, my favorite is still "Butch Cassidy." But what impresses me more are "Ordinary People" and "A River Runs Through It," two great books Redford brought to life with subtle and sophisticated directing. Rest in Peace.

The NCAA's investigation into Michigan's "signgate," with penalties, goes public Friday.
My guess, throughout, remains:
-Fines.
-Moore suspended 2-4 games.
-Harbaugh and Stallions "show cause"
-No wins vacated.
But the NCAA can do whatever it likes, and often does.
