My German grandmother, a war refugee, emigrated to Chicago. She learned how to speak English watching WGN.

When I visited we’d watch WGN every night. Never thought I’d see one of its producers brutalized & arrested by masked US govt thugs.

My mom & grandparents fled Germany bc of this same shit.

As a leftist myself who used to support the free Palestine movement, it wasn't because I didn't like Jews. I was incredibly misinformed. I know that a lot of these people on the left are also misinformed. It's not an excuse, and the impact of their actions is damaging, but they're so very clueless.

You don't have to watch him, but many people do watch him and will continue to watch him. Regardless of what you or I think. So it's important to be able to give people information to be able to separate truth from bias and misinformation. Just telling them not to watch him won't work.

Also, most Americans are completely ignorant about the Middle East. So are most Canadians. Our school systems did not prepare us for this. Until recently, I was also pretty ignorant about a lot of this. We are not ready to deal with Islamists. Israel is pretty much the only line of defense.

I understand how some in the American public say America deserved 9/11 due to the American gov's involvement in countless wars. Americans can criticize their government's military industrial complex. The difference is that Islamists are serious about killing every American. It's not hyperbole.

But if you're on the left and you're being manipulated due to your ignorance on a topic, it's the responsibility of those on your side to help you see that. Right now, the left is being manipulated by Islamists. Islamists do not show up in good faith. They are skilled manipulators. They are lying.

Being on the left is the objectively correct place to be in my personal opinion. That doesn't mean that every person within the left is right about everything. The ability to disagree with one another is important. It doesn't mean you're not a leftist anymore. What an absurd way of seeing things.
