There are several but I think the most legit is Greg Grandin. He’s unmatched in his coverage of South American politics.The transcript isn’t up yet at Democracy Now, but he does a great job of explaining the nuance of her adjectives/power.

I think the best source on this is Democracy Now’s explanation of her views. Unfortunately, the transcript isn’t up yet. Look for it tomorrow. Grandin has written extensively on South America, and recently on Machado’s alignment with Trump on continuing historical patterns of oppression.

Congress made their pay permanent. Military pay? No. Could congress fix it? Instantly. But why would the arsonists turn off the gas while they’re still warm and well-fed? They are fake patriots, fake christians who see everyone as disposable. “Respect the troops” means paying them!
