While looking up this thread, in todays context of Dutch minister Karremans not being able to meet his equal Nexperia counterparts in CN, I also found an older note on the Citroen 2CV.
Hint: I would check whether those CN counterparts are *really* absent, on a 'conference'.

I once travelled in an oldtimer rally convoy; the 2CV team met more 'childhood recognition' than any other vehicle, in both countries.
