Honderden nepaccounts op sociale media hebben rond de Nederlandse Tweede Kamerverkiezingen vanuit Nigeria, Ghana en andere landen het debat benvloed door politiek getinte berichten en accounts te versterken. Dat zeggen deskundigen in reactie op onderzoek van RTL Nieuws. Door berichten te delen en massaal kleine accounts te volgen, hebben de nepaccounts volgens de experts uiterst rechtse en antiinstitutionele standpunten populairder laten lijken dan ze waarschijnlijk zijn.

Tellen voor politieke commentatoten schijnt moeilijk te zijn: Het politieke midden groeide met 13 CDA +17 D66 = 30 zetels. Rechts verloor -20 NSC -11 PVV -3 BBB -2 VVD +8 JA21 +4 FVD +2 50plus = -22 zetels. Links verloor -5 GL/PvdA -2 SP -1 Volt = -8 zetels. Het midden groeide ten koste van rechts.
