Rory joined me for the day after a childcare call-out. I'm blessed to have friends like those at Open Hearth who enjoy having me bring the kid to a meeting, and to live near a second-hand kids' toy store so I can outfit the office with a sleeping tent and cool, vintage toys. Kid had a good day.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

We started this program during COVID. Approximately 100 imprisoned individuals have gone through; only a few came back. It's literally putting people to work, decreasing the prison population, and saving taxpayers a lot of money.

In Chester County, inmates are getting workforce training and jobs to match post-release
The Exit, Enter, Employ program, started in January 2023, has connected more than 100 inmates with jobs. And with only a 2% recidivism rate, county officials say its been a success.

I’ve been texting one of my students from the hospital. She’s in good spirits and has non life threatening injuries.
These are good kids; on Tuesday we are planning to go to the capital, breakfast with the democrats and lunch with the republicans. They were going to solve the budget crisis.

The U.S. military has destroyed five boats it has alleged were ferrying drugs into the U.S., killing 27 people. No authority has publicly released the names of any of the dead. One family is believed to be the first to publicly say they believe a relative is among those who were killed.
