Not the first time I hear this. Brace yourself for a wave of "agentic burnouts", in particular among ADHD people where the continuous dopamine fix resulting from agents producing stuff leads people to endlessly keep feeding them.
AI users are working longer because, for the first time, our tools can finally keep pace with our imagination.

When output is cheap, your greatest leverage isn't how much you build, but the taste to know what is worth building - and the rest required to see the difference.

I've put a dumb amount of effort into building an immutable desktop setup with a declarative config that didn't require me to learn Nix, but I fear I'm running out of energy to resist.

I want to see studies that compare multiple implementations of the same software spec: entirely by a coding agent, "hybrid" vibe coded by an experienced dev, and entirely coded by hand.

Dusted off the old blog to write a quick thought about putting an `AGENTS.md` or `CLAUDE.md` file in your repo. joshmock.com/post/2026-ag...

The daily discovery algorithm gave me "Jesus Christ" by Brand New, Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek," and "Anthems For a Seventeen Year Old Girl" by Broken Social Scene, all in a row. Because apparently it doesn't understand I was a legal adult listening to these songs when they first came out?

Gun deaths are bad. But the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi.
