The funny thing with this one is— I was assigned this book in 10th grade English, but when I started at the school (I moved mid-year), the class was already halfway done with it, so I never finished. Just now getting around to it, a few months shy of 30 years (!?) later.

I take being vigilant about AI very seriously, but I also worry that could harm my relationship with students, given that false positives are inevitable. I hate to think that some students are doing their work honestly but may get caught up in AI suspicion.

Also only seen one DCEU movie. The only Batman movie I've seen in any incarnation is Batman Returns, because I was home sick from work circa 1999, I didn't have cable, and it was on tv. I did used to enjoy the Adam West Batman series when I was a kid, though.

Like, I don't think it makes me better than anyone or anything like that. I'd just genuinely much rather watch a weird sad probably boring indie movie about feelings and sadness than almost any movie that other people actually like.

A lot of it is that I just don't watch a lot of movies. Always been more of a tv person; I like an ongoing story. When I do see movies, I'm weird & just not that interested in most blockbusters. I get bored really easily with action. This probably sounds super pretentious, but it's just what it is.

I mean...I haven't seen Friends or Love Actually or Dirty Dancing. I haven't seen Independence Day, or Titanic, or any Die Hard, Rocky, John Wick, or Fast/Furious movie . I've only seen 1 post-Little Mermaid Disney animated film, and only 1 Pixar. One MCU movie.

Weird social media experience of the day: I mentioned in a Reddit thread that a baseball stadium I went to as a kid had trough-style urinals, and I didn't love peeing in a trough surrounded by huge, drunken men. One reply called me a weirdo for that, because there are other bad kinds of urinals.
