The Matthew Stafford 'MVP' chants at SoFi Sunday night were just "calling a spade a spade," as WR Davante Adams put it.
November 24, 2025 at 6:25 PM
Matthew Stafford is still the soul-stealer.

He should be the MVP (argue with a wall).

But this season, something greater is happening too.

Read this until the end.

Matthew Stafford is playing with MVP chops — and something deeper, too
As the Rams embarrassed the NFC South-leading Buccaneers on Sunday night, every part of Stafford's game was on full display.

Caught Davante Adams before he headed out and asked him his reaction to the “MVP” chants for Matthew Stafford tonight. He lit up: “Hey, they’re just calling a spade a spade.”

Says Stafford - still the usual killer - is also playing with a joy they all feel and return.

When a head coach is fired but a GM stays, what red and green flags might that create for prospective hires? I asked sources around the league with significant experience in the NFL’s hiring cycles and got fascinating responses about the dynamics of a “holdover GM”: www.nytimes.com/athletic/682...
Can it ever work when an NFL coach gets fired but the GM remains?
The Giants appear set to keep their GM but hire a new head coach, an organizational transition with historically mixed results.

Both coaches such huge assets to the Rams and I think people often forget what a mid round and UDFA safety factory LA has been…that’s Shula, who has long been on the talent ID committee for the position (and pro scout-now-director Matt Waugh, too). Shula has an eye for and affinity toward safeties.
Going back through Seahawks O vs Rams and it's really impressive how well the Rams' secondary played on Sunday. A huge testament to Chris Shula and Aubrey Pleasant, they didn't do anything groundbreaking, but their safeties were driving on everything

Couple big time plays for the Tuten Hive. Picked up the rusher with gusto. Rips out an 11 yard carry. Scores a TD a play later.
