New one from me. Come on, all you writers
With the mainstream media steadily moving to the right, it is more urgent than ever that we have independent, ethical media outlets willing to speak truth to power. Citizen journalism can be a powerful force for good and James Joughin issues a call to arms in his piece for @sussexbylines.co.uk
Come writers and critics throughout the land, editors too, come lend a hand
A call for would-be citizen journalists to join the Sussex team in speaking truth to power

Thanks for that one, Roy. I really enjoyed it.
Well done, Sussex Bylines. Excellent analysis and the issue is urgent.
Is this what you mean by "greater efficiency" in the #NHS Wes Streeting? It's happening in #Brighton but where else? An appalling waste of money and expertise, all in the name of profit?- A special report on the threatened closure of an outstanding GP clinic sussexbylines.co.uk/news/health-...

In the #SpringStatement today, the Chancellor could have set out the pro-equality, tax-reforming strategy required to make good on the government’s promise of change.

An enormous opportunity has just been squandered - and the right are the ones who will benefit.

Nice review. I’ll see it with at least one of my kids too and in the same vein!
Thanks for that, Roy. I haven’t been keeping up properly. I think I would try to let the work speak for itself. Which of course it does.
I loved all that Zen stuff. Probably that was the first time I ever heard about it and nobody around me would’ve had any idea of what it was either. He was a real gateway.
I got hooked into Salinger at about 13 and remain hooked for reasons I don’t fully understand. I bought these in Compendium probably about 1973.
Yes, we should investigate
So glad you're covering Sussex issues where The Argus fears to tread. Perhaps a feature on community energy would be good @bhesco.bsky.social

And that’s right, the lives they lead were totally horrific.
The article was good but the story is so grim. There’s something about how the stuff that we love also produces all this triviality and darkness. And it’s something especially American, or so it seems.

You mean the reviewer’s style? I thought that was okay. The lives they had were a kind of horror though.
