Winter Storm Fern isn't going to move the needles, babe. Need to call it something like ICEZILLA.

Losing Luisangel Acuna sucks, but considering he almost killed me once with a foul ball, I am somewhat relieved for the Mets roster to now only bring me harm in the less violent but more damaging traditional, Metsian ways.

Anyway, Joseph Kosinski has now directed more Best Picture nominees than David Lynch did, and that’s why the Oscars, as much as they delight and entertain us nerds every year, should never be taken to heart.

F1 is a blisteringly boring effects reel with a cliche dipped story and hollow characters.

I don't have an issue nominating box-office winners, but they need to have more virtues than success.

WHO HAS BUGONIA BEST PICTURE QUIBBLES?! Show them to me.

F1 for best picture? What are we doing as a society?

Over Eddington? Sorry, Baby?!

Glad to see Train Dreams make the cut, at least.

My neighbors informed me that our street does not get plowed clear when there is snow Guess I'll see you all in the Spring.

David Stearns, I take back 40% of the things I said about you.

when the Mets lost out on Tucker my cousin and I decided to forgo our Spring Training trip (there were additional non baseball reasons). Clearly, our disappointment got back to David Stearns and spurred him to act.
Deal is completed. Freddy Peralta is a New York Met.
The New York Mets are in serious discussions with the Milwaukee Brewers to acquire ace Freddy Peralta. Deal is not yet finalized, but significant process has been made.
January 22, 2026 at 2:50 AM
Sold. Peralta is amenable to extension talks and Sproat profiles as a mid rotation arm and Jett's ceiling is what? Bottom of the order regular 2B on a team that is locked into Semien for 3 years?

If it was Tong or Benge I'd be way more hesitant.
The Brewers are asking for Brandon Sproat and Jett Williams for Peralta. A one year rental.

PASS, please.

Watching Nobody Wants This season 2, and that show really nails the nuances of interfaith relationships. Such as how my Catholic-raised wife makes this same joke whenever the "shiny bread" is on the table (complimentary).
