Brooch Warfare, Story Time, and the occasional designer overview and so forth. Writer, knitter, trying-to-be artist. I run on art supplies and yarn.

#CRPS late stage. I had a support group I'd love to replicate.

Do no harm, take no shit.

Okay, shoot, we'll make this an official thread. #FashionWatch #PSA Our manners and running jokes around here, if we lose you somewhere.

This is going to take a bit, to dig up these images.

If I find it, I will try to do a recap of the Great Lesbian Space War (remember, the blues and the reds?)

Sorely tempted to get weed and try it in cookies or brownies or something. Hmmm. (No fear, I have a MMJ card and don’t drive.)

Hmmm. I have gotten in trouble with edibles before. But brownies.

Oh, pretty. I've been looking into a new wedding ring, with a Jubilee cut synthetic stone, padparadscha colored. Moissanite, probably. It's pretty hard and you can get all kinds of cuts off Etsy.

It appears that Bird Site has eaten a great deal of my threads, so I'm re-creating from scratch. Today we're doing sapphires. #JewelWatch

I screwed up the last time with the color names, so I guess it's a chance to fix that.

First, understand that sapphires come in a bunch of colors.

One thing right wingers keep asking is “what if some Democrats are in there?”

I would like to repeat our answer, which is, toss them in a cell, too. We don’t care who they know.

Ditto for Diddy’s … I don’t have a word for what that creature has done.
Today is the deadline to release the Epstein files. The DOJ is refusing to comply.

This is about justice for survivors and holding participants and co-conspirators accountable.

The Epstein Files Act is the law, not a suggestion.

Release the files. Immediately.

If anyone is using my alt text, am I including desired details? If not, what am I leaving out?

I know I get pretty snarky on some of them, but I still try to include enough info for someone to know what I’m talking about.

Hub told me yesterday I look like Agent One from
Monsters Inc, with my cat eye reading glasses on and my hair up in a bun.

I’m pretty sure a jury would acquit me.

I’m amazed by how many of you have or have seen this cook book.

Kid hasn’t done “since we have everything out anyway”, but she has copied out the brownie muffin recipe. I made it once when she was maybe six, and she remembered it.

I once got a marriage proposal over a coffee cake.

At this point we’re just baking for the hell of it, and today, we got out The Tome as kid calls it. Three inches thick, good paper, full color printing, gilded pages. Like a grimoire.

Scarf of the day! I call it the Sargasso Sea scarf, because it looks like the Sargasso Sea tile from a scenario in Civ 3. Knit in seed stitch on the bias with mystery sock yarn from a friend. #knitting

Wow, this ancient Egyptian linen shirt is the world’s oldest known complex woven garment. Known as the Tarkhan Dress, it was cut and tailored to fit some 5,000 years ago!

I was just recently looking. There seems to be a fair variety of stuff, though I don't know about the price history.

I was thinking it would be cool to cut some something from these old scavenged Soviet military laser rubies.

A tiara I would love to steal.

This is dowager Queen Margrethe of Denmark. She stepped down, so I’m waiting and hoping to see Queen Mary wear it. Mary does tiara hair occasionally, so. We wait.
She knows the proper way to wear it, too. There’s some great pictures of her and the piece.
