Contemplative, cheeky, occasionally calamitous chaote crone... and CATS! Witchician. Sorcerista. Unapologetic neologist. Loving my life in the PNW. Longtime magical practitioner and spiritual seeker. Occulty woo woo is my jam.

💫 Growth isn’t always visible. Roots strengthen long before blossoms appear. Trust the unseen work. ✨

Work with, yes. Dedicated to a particular deity or working with one exclusively, no. Some more than others, and it changes over time. I tend to approach deity as I would other spirits, but the respect due someone that has inspired the devotion of countless others over the span of millennia.
I once rented a house that had a huge stand of motherwort in the front yard. It was such a magical place, and your post reminded me of it--thank you! ❤️

:For many of us who are Pagan, animist, or simply allergic to traditional, institutional religion, ‘spirit’ isn’t abstract. It’s the breath, the land, the weather, the ancestors, the gods (many, one, or none), and the living web of relationship." - Cosette

Had a really intense (but amazing!) ritual with my coven on Sunday and have been processing it since then. We're a fairly young group and experiencing some growing pains, but when things come together they *really* come together. I'm so grateful to have them, and our group, in my life. #witchsky

Whole Woods remove, the lofty Mountains shake,

I just picked that one up too, but haven't started reading it yet. It's such a beautifully bound book! The edges, end papers, cover, dust jacket... so yummy.
Mary Magdalene was a necromancer. Whenever someone gets raised from the dead, she's around. She anoints with herbs and oils before and after death, and is the first one to see the risen person.

Not a *great* theory (and a very lightly-held one at that), but as far as I know a unique one. 😉

I practice magick, but I don't call myself a witch. Let's talk about it.

What labels do you use to describe yourself and your practice?

That's a really good point. I would give myself extra care if I was going through something emotionally difficult in my waking life, it stands to reason that I should for my dreaming self as well. She is me, after all, and the sense of loss is the same.
This is beautiful, and resonates so deeply. Thank you for sharing this idea. ❤️
Sometimes I have dreams that I'm so in love with someone that I wake up heartsick and missing them. Not even people I know. This is a recurring theme that's surfaced many times and I've come to attribute it to my higher self. Anyone else have dreams like this? How do you interpret them? #witchsky
This is like the writer version of me walking around the house looking for my phone only to realize it’s in my hand. 😄
New book day! (Like so many other days, but still!) I’m impressed by the design on the edges of the pages. So lovely! Looking forward to reading it. #witchsky #booksky

Every time I post videos or am interviewed about witchcraft, people comment that I didn‘t do enough to explain what witches *believe.* Good thing I wrote a short, accessible book all about why that’s sort of a weird question: bookshop.org/p/books/witc...

Being ready means that I've seen to the mundane things related to preparing for winter and can turn my attention to inner work. I don't have any formal ritual traditions until the solstice, but do more journaling, trance & shadow work from Nov-Feb. Much more interior practices than anything.

This year's astrological date of Samhain is Thursday, November 6, 2025. I prefer to celebrate Sabbats on their fixed date, which is October 31 for Samhain, but it's still good to know alternative days.

#Witchsky
Not quite, but I will be after Samhain. After that, it's full-on cozy mode and tucking in for the Big Dark here in the PNW, which really feeds into my spiritual awareness of winter.

Let me the first to warn you that sometimes witchcraft looks like cooking meth #witchsky

Or you look like you're on meth.

🔥 Some days you’ll spark. Some days you’ll smoulder. Both are sacred forms of keeping the flame alive. ✨

He sounds like a keeper. 😉 Happy anniversary!
Woke up to someone saying my name, then went back to sleep and had misty, nostalgic dreams of people and places from my past. I might need to go walk around in nature for a while today. #witchsky
