So strange. I grew up both Talented 10th AND marginalized due to the way my family was set up. It was equal parts room to explore my sexuality, gender and thoughts, but also restrictive as hell too. Time period plays a part too (‘95-‘09)

Worth talking about I guess: the entirety of my 7th year was one. I experienced SA, experienced extreme physical abuse, watched the healthcare system fail my mother, and learned how spiteful people could be to children within the span of like 5 months.

There was an expected snow day where my mom and I made GIANT fucking neon cookies, first time she taught me how to make tea over the stove top, and we watched TV together. It happened to be just us that day so it was a truly heart warming moment.
