On my first train of 3 back home.
It's 20 mins late and crawling in deepest Cornwall.
Train Manager just announced that 'the train is struggling with traction because the track is wet from some light rain - I know; you can't make this up'.

I find it odd that someone would spend 100 bars on a gig and just be on their phone the whole time but, equally, you pay your money you make your choice.
As long as doesn't impact anyone else's enjoyment I have no issue.
I do have issue, though, with enforced phone surrender.

I average a visit of 1x a year during the last 25 years to St Ives.
This year 2x.
I think this will be the new average at least, on going.
I now have 3 of my gave boozers in this beautiful town: Sloop Inn, Pilchard Press & Pedn Olva.
Very different and different reasons.
Superb.

In the excellent newly refurbished Pedn Olva (lookout to the headland).
Always been a favourite for the views (obs better in daylight!).
But now more of a (gastro) pub feel than a garish restaurant.

David is slightly unfair. There is a clear difference here.

Conservatives and Reform plan to forcibly expel large numbers of people who are legal, permanent residents of migrant origin. The BNP proposal is voluntary.

Grateful just a mild inconvenience versus 2020/21.

Hadn't even needed test for circa a yr (Mum is immunocompromised so we all do if any symptoms) so shouldn't complain.
Though I did, of course.
