So I told people in a convo on this site that I was 60 and suddenly their every response to me is about how I'm "confused" and "unable to follow the chain of the conversation". That wasn't what they were accusing me of before I revealed my age. But they deny that they're ageist bigots.

These are the people who want us elders who fought for their rights to die off.
Some older people just won't get out of the way, so we just have to wait them out.
Which I have been doing since I was 17. So a few more years is nothing. Their political power will fade and the world can move on.

It is exhausting trying to make people understand how our government works when they don't want to understand. They just want to pitch tantrums and accuse people of being "Nazis". They are shitting on people who actually agree with them on most points becuase they are just plain stupid.

i don't mean to come off as rude but we cannot sustain ourselves on outrage and anger forever. i think it's even more important now to post about other things too. even if it gets less engagement. you never know who will find it cool and interesting.
It’s a real mindfuck when most ppl wanna post about their latest failures/successes, or weird shit they saw in the wild or cool stuff they made…but the country is a cesspool so cool/weird shit seems trite.
