my weirdest chip on my shoulder is about writing advice the last few years tbh. i think a lot of prospective writers suffer from the mindset that you should only read in the genre you want to write (if you read at all) and need to jump into a Big Magnum Opus right away. i hate it.

i would keep working in libraries but 20-30 hours instead of 40 and use the extra time + energy to write/draw/volunteer more. also get my own place and some tattoos.

i know being exempt fucks a lot of people over but it's been such a boon for me. about to leave work at 1:30 bc there's no students that need supervision and i can't be fucked and will face no monetary or disciplinary consequences at all bc i'm literally just allowed to for some reason.
