The outer robe is almost done!! Bodice fishies have been sewn on and now I'm on to sewing up the bottom panels via a ladder stitch. It's easy to do while watching TV, which is great, and once the panels are mostly sewn I can then hem it and attach a small closer that will be hidden under the belt.

One fish has been sewn on! It's a slow process (took 3 or 4 sessions, 30min to an hour each) but I'm so pleased with the finished look. Onto the next!

Been a while but I got a chance to work on Li Yu! Current completion goal: ALA.

Sewn sleeves & the collar, now I'm slowly sewing the fish appliques to the bodice! I waited to do this until I had the collar, sleeves, & some lining in just to confirm placement.

Also, it looks so cute with the belt!

This is probably a huge longshot, but I bought this "Lucky Charms" nub tail at the #sacanime swap meet & didn't get the maker's info! Someone in Exhibitors said they think they saw the maker post it in the #sacfurs group, so?

Anyone know who made this?

Nixed the Jester coat bc i'm already in 3+ layers & don't wanna die, but!! About to head out to the con, hopefully to make the CritRole panel. If not, we'll be at the gathering for sure.

I'm being so brave & strong and decided against trying to rush to finish my new faun legs for the ren faire... Work has been an absolute nightmare this week & I know if I tried to finish, I'd be miserable and in a much worse state.

The unicorn fit will have different bottoms!

My shift and stays are done!! I'm so pleased with how my first properly boned foundation piece turned out. Now I just need to play with the drawstring in my shift neckline to make the shoulders sit where I want them to....

Gods, I've been SO busy lately x.x but I've also almost completed a new pair of stays (like, more fashion than historical, but also more historical than I've made before) that look SO much better than I could have expected! I've got a little less than 2 weeks to finish my new ren faire look 💪

Belt is almost done!! I used the poly chiffon from my under robe, some lace for detail, leftover turquoise silk taffeta from a commission, and a poly taffeta for the center band of the belt (faced in the same red as my main robe).

First image of how most of it will look together, so I could figure out applique placement on the bodice. The belt is very rough here, just so I had an idea of color.

I also drafted the sleeve for this robe, instead of using the pattern's small cap-style sleeve.

Over robe cut from a poly taffeta in this lovely pink/orange toned crimson poly taffeta! I'm lining it in a deep teal cotton and made bias strips for the collar (not originally part of the pattern).
