When I learned about the cruelties of SS and Nazi's in school (I'm german) I always wondered, how this could happened... I never imagined seeing it happening again and getting the explanation in front of my eyes...

Do current publishing and carreer assessment practices limit scientific progress? Journals basically evaluate your recent citation numbers when you ausbmit to the editorial board...
