It can still sting and be frustrating to try out a group, game, or playstyle and realize it's not a fit. But it hurts a lot less to think "ah well, this just isn't my space" rather than "they had fun and I didn't, something must be wrong with me."

Combat wheelchair rulesets in ttrpgs are a great way to filter out the type of guy who gets really mad about combat wheelchair rulesets, who's typically going to be a pain in the ass to have at the table anyway

I really want to run a Shin Megami Tensai inspired TTRPG game where a group of characters are the chosen ones that are destined to remake the world in their image, they just can agree on what that looks like and slowly tear each other apart.
