Phooey. I had tried to make an appointment on the DMV website and the site said I couldn’t do so. I went to the office and they say I have to make an appointment online. And probably no appointments available until January!

For the third day in a row, I find myself hanging around the donut shop. They seem to enjoy my company. This is a consequence of having assumed five days of recovery from surgery and thus having cleared my calendar but only needing two days.

Although I took the booked day of medical leave today so I could sleep in, I was feeling well enough to walk the three blocks to my local restaurant and have breakfast. There’s only so long I could lounge around in my sleep wear.

The TERFs think that they can “always tell”. But they can’t. These revised EHRC guidelines that The Times is leaking will affect far more cis women than trans women. What a ridiculous waste of public money the EHRC has become.
The EHRC’s definition of “woman” in its “interim guidance” is *gender* not “biological sex”.
It wants single-sex spaces policed by gender (ie appearance) not biology (chromosomes etc).
So it uses *gender* not the “commonsense” definition of “biological sex” the Supreme Court misjudgment mandated.

And we're home. It took extra time due to delays getting the prescription filled for the painkillers. Rather than have to spend a day or two waiting for insurance hoops becuase it's a prescription that requires pre-approval, I just paid the $18 out of my healthcare FSA.

Out of surgery. In the recovery area, eating graham crackers and drinking Sprite Zero. All seems to have gone well, Lisa on her way in and should miss the nightmare that is USA Parkeay.

I’ve met with the anesthesiologist and my surgeon. Sounds like we’ll be getting going shortly.

The whole “hiding behind another gender to hurt someone” it’s just not a real thing. This “men dressing up as women to stalk bathrooms" doesn’t happen the way those people want us to believe. If it were happening, women would be speaking up. And they’re not, because it’s not happening.
