Kernow. Cornwall. Lefty, lover of wine, food, history, gardening, art, books, dogs and nature. There's already enough crap in the world without adding to it.
Winter sun. Lanzarote.

Our A to Z of Cornish gardens and gardening continues and for H we wanted to share one of Cornwall’s most magical of gardens – the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan were once part of a thriving Cornish estate owned by the Tremayne family of St Ewe.

The benefits of relying on GWR getting you home these days is that invariably you get some of your train fare back due to delays and missed connections. I can't remember the last time that I didn't get some kind of refund. Still it's a fabulous trip back home. #Cornwall #kernow #travel #train

In terms of weather, this year has been one of the best in my lifetime. Perfect mix of rain and sunshine here in UK. Despite recent rain and winds we have also had the most spectacular Autumn colour.

In the old orchard at Cotehele #Cornwall mistletoe grows in the branches of apple trees adorned with a rich array of lichens + moss so that as well as all the moths + insects that use apple trees as a larval food plant, it's also supporting the many species who feed on lichens, moss + mistletoe.
