Not endorsing what this guy did in any way because it sounds terrible, but if you make people teach modules of material they don't know about (or are not capable of teaching, but that's another story ehem) they will be doing this - this won't be the only place

It's a shame this piece doesn't consider the lengthy strikes that have just taken place, but it's an important question nonetheless

I'm on strike for the next three days in protest at my employer's refusal to rule out compulsory redundancies as part of their cost-cutting vision for a radically diminished university. My school makes a healthy profit, most of which goes back into central coffers, yet still we're told to save more.
