People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Art is Resistance.

This is not getting the attention it deserves, but Beutler is absolutely right. We need politicians to go directly after the social media algorithms and curb the rot that has driven us here
New from me: Emmanuel Macron delivered remarks in Germany recently that I think could serve as a template for an outside-the-box, ambitious political figure. But timing and breaking with prevailing orthodoxy would be critical. www.offmessage.net/p/defiant-re...

If democrats cave on the shutdown, what will they have proven? No concessions have been offered, no deals reached. All you’re doing is giving your approval for what is happening.

Someone should take that Trump feces fighter jet and put the six cons on the SC in the cockpit and have it shitting all over the constitution.

At what point are Democratic senators going to realize the Republicans are playing tackle football and they're still playing touch?

Every Dem senator needs to hear this.

Trump has never been politically correct. His rhetoric and policies have emboldened the worst elements in our country. Thanks to the cowardice of the Senate Republicans, who failed to uphold their oaths and put country over party, and the complicit Supreme Court, every day he poisons America.
He could’ve fought, but he faked bone spurs. So someone else had to go in his place - most likely a working class kid whose daddy couldn’t afford to bribe a doctor. Now he’s talking shit about how it should’ve been fought.

He looks as miserable as the rest of us under his presidency.
ok so what are we calling this look

No Donald, the politicians afraid of political violence are the ones on your side of the aisle that are afraid of their own supporters.
This feels like evidence Trump's aides are deliberately gaslighting him, which is unfortunately very easy to do with dementia sufferers (Trump did it to his father) and which aides are using to seize control of the US military for their own purposes.
The protests are on one block. Nothing is burning down. His justification for sending in troops is all based on lies.

Why? That’s the conservative M.O. now.
i almost admire how wurman makes with total confidence claims that are such total bullshit that they don’t even require much in the way of work to debunk.

Small government was another way of saying less government for people, more for corporations—who are people, according to the Supreme Court.
“GOVERNMENT OVERREACH… we’re a nation of constitutional law, not martial law…”

Trump-appointed Judge Immergut did not hold back in blocking Trump from invading Portland with their own Guard — Where have all the “small government” Republicans gone? 🤷🏼 www.euronews.com/2025/10/05/u...

Anything negative people in this regime say about their critics is a badge of honor. I would post this in my profile.
The Vice President of the United States used his social media page to tell Joy Reid, a private citizen with no connection to the government, that she should express "gratitude" for how this country has treated her.

Black women remain the most consistent targets in all of this.

Every single elected democrat needs to have this kind of posture toward the Trump regime.
“Trump is lying. Speaker Johnson is lying. Full stop.”

I think Ds should ask for the firing of RFK in the budget negotiations. It's a big, easily understandable ask, which would massively benefit the American ppl, and I think it would split the gop, many of whom want rfk gone anyway. www.everythingishorrible.net/p/demand-the...

Conservatives often argue that the government doesn’t function properly and less government is good.

What they never mention is how every time they are put in charge of the government, they do a shitty job.

Perhaps people should stop voting for the people who don’t want government to work.
