A No Kings Dance Party at Penn Station, Baltimore. Joyful. Peaceful. Weird. John Waters would be proud.

Any American medium that fails to cover the largest protests in American history is failing in the basic mission of informing the public about the facts.
#NoKings
A good day to remember this…

I hear from informed sources that these #NoKings rallies are more than twice as big as last time, making them easily the largest protests in US history. Thanks to everyone and especially organizers.

A Christianity that believes it needs a president, legislation and a government to ensure its survival is a Christianity that is centered on the worship of its own power rather than faithfully relying on the power of God.

God is just its mascot for its political ideology

"It is ridiculous that antifa has become this boogeyman. If they're going to tell us they are going to find the founder of Antifa, isn't the founder of Antifa...Winston Churchill? FDR? Didn't they lead a war against fascism? Wasn't that anti-fascism?" - me

As @rns.org documented in August, apparent ICE/federal immigration agents have conducted operations near or even *on the grounds* of churches at least 10 times this year so far.

One LA pastor personally confronted agents on her church property, demanding they leave. religionnews.com/2025/08/04/w...
Thanks for your comments. Not sure whether you read the sermon. My concern, as a pastor, is to differentiate our ecclesiology from the assumptions of culture in order to reform it, and so that the church can be the church, that is, what the Spirit is calling the church to be. More Barthian here.
Brian Zahnd: “Christianity is inherently countercultural. That’s how [the church] thrives. When it tries to become a dominant culture, it becomes corrupted. That’s been the case from the beginning.” @brianzahnd.bsky.social From my sermon on 2 Tim 2:21-22.

The Apostle Paul called the church to be ready for every good work—the work of justice, faith, love, and peace (2 Tim. 2:21-22). This is our task. We are called to be ready for whatever good is being asked of us today and in the days ahead. catonsvillepres.org/sermons/ever...
