Altman: I'm so sorry Creepy Princess Timeᵀᴹ is being sued by grieving parents upset that she told their kids to drink bleach. Even though I am not legally liable for this due to our thick contract I feel your pain.

Disney: Do not worry brother, our lawyers are powerful.

Altman: just making sure, you guys really are going to give me the money, right. Like I am in absolutely desperate need of cash right now, like I need it right now or the whole bubble pops and the shell game holding up the entire economy collapses.

Disney: we've survived worse, brother.

Altman: I really didn't think this offer would be appealing to you like at all. I know how famously incredibly litigious you guys are but thought it was worth taking a shot

Disney: And your aim was true brother. Together we will take over the world with legally questionable pregnant Elsa kink porn

Altman: So in recap you are really going to pay me a billion dollars for my machine that stole all your shit and in return generates incredibly disturbing remixes at a huge loss to me with potential legal liability for all the suicides it also produces

Disney: Yep. Love that for me. Brother we ride

Altman: so get this. The machine, which I trained by stealing literally all of your shit, it loses an incredible amount of money per user. The more users use it to generate CSAM using all your stuff it stole, the more money it loses. Also it tells them to kill themselves.

Disney: Genius!

Altman: ok so the machine's primary use will be to make deepfake porn of all your actresses, sometimes with child faces. I told people they will be able to fuck these deepfakes. Also, as I said, it encourages them to commit suicide and family annihila-

Disney: say no more. Here's a billion dollars

Sam Altman: hey I made a machine that stole literally all your stuff in order to make CSAM of your child actors, sometimes it encourages people to kill themselves

Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars

Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.

Ah, so this is a remake of the first game, got it. I still get weird open world-live service vibes from the CATALYST trailer and I’m not liking that.

I do think there needs to be a conversation about Best Indie and Best Debut Indie. I think Indie has implications of scope that aren’t just “this was independently funded/produced” because under such a loose metric, BALDUR’S GATE 3 is “Indie” and that would be absurd, as is E33 being called as such.
losing my mind watching people genuinely complain that there wasn’t enough ‘variety’ in their awards show because Expedition 33 - a game that is exceptional in almost every way - won several awards for being exceptional in almost every way

Lol the US just abandoned their effort to get mad at the guy that threw Bolsonaro in prison. Big "my toddler tantrum didn't get me nothing so we're done here" energy.

mark, we are trying to help you. if you guys don't get with the program and stop standing in the way of the idea that government should do things for regular people, your risk is not going to be higher taxes on your income, it's going to be seizure of your assets
Almost all of them switched decades ago or longer. Tell me how we are going to move from where we are today , to where you want to go ?

Saying you want it is easy. All I'm asking is how are we going to get there ?

If Bernie's M4A passed under Biden, RFK jr would be running M4A today.
Every other country does it, Mark. It's not some vague thought experiment.

Lots of ways it can be imperfect, of course, but it fundamentally gives everyone access to healthcare without fear of bankruptcy.

and by making it a dispute over due process and the Constitution, trump made it possible to build a cross-ideological coalition against abrego garcia's removal. it was the most favorable terrain possible and it genuinely blows my mind that ostensible professionals couldn't see it.

someone tell the California ACLU who is disproportionately more likely to be killed in traffic accidents including those involving people under the influence
The California ACLU is staunchly opposed to the ignition interlock device program and is a big reason that it has not been expanded. Despite the fact that California heavily subsidizes the cost for low-income drunk drivers, the ACLU says that the program is a form of "racialized wealth extraction."

The Democratic Party's formula for the last 50 years has been "Let's be friendly with extreme wealth and maybe we can also get modest policy wins sometimes." The last 10 years and this year in particular should be conclusive proof of how badly this has failed. But we're stuck with it anyway

ah yes, all workers should have the right to hurl racial slurs at black customers
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
