Wonder if East Midlands Railway will get rid of all traces of the East Midlands Trains livery before being nationalised and having to bring it back?

The GBR livery is very stagecoachy with added flagshaggery.

I'm sure @showmeasign.online will appreciate how bad these traffic lights are...

Puts the yellow/red arrow light discourse into perspective!
I'm repeating myself ad nauseam, but this totally stupid nonsense of all identical traffic lights with written signs to indicate what they are meant for is so absolutely insane that has come to symbolize the hyper-provincialism of Ontario and why it fails so miserably at transit construction.
we are reaching new levels of inane traffic delays

"With more than a thousand student residents, peak-term arrival and departure traffic,"

If only there was a 1052 space car park next door - oh.

And the OR2 past the front door would be able to soak up the cycle demand... Oh, that's right, it's not been built.

👀 the Auroas have finally started to enter passenger service!
Great to be on the first East Midlands Railway “Aurora” to enter passenger service this morning - 810010 working the 07.00 Sheffield-St Pancras as its first train. More on the 810s in the next TR UK

Ooh, time to start my one man campaign to get the Liverpool-Norwich changed to Blackpool-Norwich calling at Radcliffe-on-Trent, Preston, and (if/when it opens) Cottom Parkway 😈
This was an easy reinstatement, but take note that you can campaign for individual trains to run.
Wot? “The rail minister, Peter Hendy, and the transport secretary, Heidi Alexander, are understood to have leaned on the ORR to think again.”

Goes on Facebook and see the entitlement is off the scale!

One literally parking round outside the door of someone's business as well as the sidewalk, and another with a ridiculous thing with a number plate spealing out Dedly - a dash of self awareness at least.

Time for a pavement parking ban.

So, EMR are losing trains before the new ones are introduced so that a private operator can run services which require the withdrawal of a useful & lucrative service between our two biggest cities, from a soon to be nationalised operator, that will still need to run but without passengers.

I still can't believe that Romain walked away from that relatively unscathed, honestly thought I'd witnessed a repeat of Roland Ratzenburger (Imola 94), Ayrton Senna (Imola 94), or Antoine Hubert (Spa 19)*

Seeing the remains of his car at the F1 Exhibition last year showed how lucky he was that day

So fuel duty going to rise, oh no it isn't, will be coming round quicker than normal I assume?

Alas, the most senior labour politician - Ethel Smith, the opposition leader of Midsomer Parish Council - found her appearance on BBC News (now owned by Lord Rothermere) arguing this point was "accidently" replaced by adverts for Poppy Power and the new Range Rover St George.
It's 2029, and a Reform government has sworn in its first batch of politically appointed judges. Suddenly, the Labour Party remembers why jury trials mattered.

Does the faux-outrage calendar need budgetmas adding to it? 🤔
Ahead of the budget this week, rumours are circulating around Westminster that IT’S PRIVATE EYE WEEK!

And unlike a freeze on income tax, a holiday tax, or a tax on international student fees, we know for sure this one is definitely happening.
