This government has not taken a single meaningful step to tackle the causes of the horrendous inefficiencies in the criminal justice system, instead rushing to dismantle trial by jury.

Legal professionals have offered numerous alternatives to address the backlog.

Ministers are not listening.

Fun fact, only 15 trains arrived on time from Manchester to Euston last week.

With today's West Coast Mainline meltdown it's insanely obvious we absolutely need HS2 to Manchester.

Is this vigilante graffiti removal on the Central Line or is that how it's meant to look?

“Cycle to work should be about helping ordinary commuters switch to greener travel, not giving tax breaks to high earners buying £4,000 e-bikes for weekend rides in the Surrey Hills. Taxpayers shouldn’t be footing the bill for luxury leisure.”

Why this is stupid -
So UK government policy is to cut benefits for those pesky cyclists and to make it cheaper to drive... got it www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

The clever thing about going for stuff like the cycle for work scheme is it’s really noticeable, affects people with lots of media access and platforms, annoys green groups, and raises almost no revenue at the same time. Real win/win/win there.

On a waiting list for an NHS dentist. They just called me to say they can get me in at 3.20... I'm at work, so I can't.

They said they will call me in the future if any spaces become available.

When did this all get so dire?

Company is adding a new expense category on the system for me so I can get 20p a mile when I use my bike for work 😎😎😎

Also the high street: no staff, do your own checkout, remove your own security tag, item you wanted isn't in stock, download an app or you pay more.

Was lovely to speak with Dr Uy Hoang - who has uploaded over 300,000 photos of the UK's canals and rivers to Google Street View and is ninth in the world by number of uploads - for this piece. www.londonworld.com/news/people/...
I’m mapping Britain for Google on foot - I’ve taken 300,000 snaps over 10 years
Watch as Dr Uy Hoang from London discusses how he’s mapping Britain's waterways, having covered at least 75% of the nation's canal network so far.

52% of journeys are getting cheaper...

But 48% more expensive. That's quite a large proportion and I think people will notice.

Double whammy if you previously purchased a sub-£12 "Advance" fare in the morning peak with a Railcard.

The equivalent flexible ticket won't be eligible for discount.
BIG NEWS

On 7/12/25, GM sees the biggest change to rail services for 30+ years.

A new fairer, simpler fare system will come in across our 96 stations.

🐝 Singles will be half the price of returns
🐝 Tickets will be valid on any operator
🐝 Average fare will fall by 5.6%

Bridget Phillipson trying to pass him one and him putting it on makes it at least worthy of a tweet from a live reporting journalist. But, obviously, hardly frontpage news.
This is the fearless journalism Britannia deserves.
