This morning, Singapore executed two Singaporeans: Ramdhan bin Lajis and his co-accused.

Last year, Singapore executed 17 people—the deadliest year since 2023. We're not off to a good start for 2026.
Not even a week into 2026 and Singapore's machinery of killing whirs into action again.

The Singapore Prison Service has informed Ramdhan bin Lajis and his family that his execution date has been set for 9 January (Friday).

Ramdhan, a Singaporean, has spent about 7 years on death row.

Trump: Before and after. They want to go in and they’re going to do a great job.

I will be governing your country remotely via shitposting and late night threats on social media. If you don’t do what I say, I will blockade, bomb and eventually starve you. This is called freedom

What the actual fuck
Q: Who will run Venezuela?

TRUMP: Well it's largely going to be for a period of time the people standing right behind me. We're gonna be running it.

What the fuck. Trump is claiming the U.S. military captured a sitting head of state in his own country, with no extradition process & no legal authority.

No matter what you think of Maduro, that’s absolutely insane behavior—and a precedent that should alarm anyone who cares about international law.

Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

when i think about independent journalism, there is one word that dominates: accountability. holding the powerful in public and private sectors to account. and it doesn't show up once in this 5-point drivel.
Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”
