Last fall I discovered some potato plants that I thought had died had sprouted volunteers Left them alone, figuring they knew best but today I noticed they were winding down. Pulled 6 good sized potatoes out of the pot & am pretty tickled with myself. Replanted some eye spuds to restart the cycle

Sigh. My last post has been reposted twice... clearly by bots because they couldn't be bothered to use a different big tittied asian woman wearing nothing but a thong.

Overheard at coffee this morning.
"So I got a lawyer."
"For what?"
"Seriously?"
"What?"
"I'm a brown skinned woman in a country that hates them."
"Oh shit. Sorry."
"Whatever. I just need one. Just in case."

Not a fan of a lot of granolas because they’re basically a sugar bomb. Decided to come up with something savory instead. 1st pass. Granola w/ cashews, oats, almonds, pepitas. Tossed in garam masala, honey, oil, msg, cumin, garlic & onion powder. Baked in 10 minute intervals @ 350 till fragrant.

I was thinking today about the time I dreamed I had been given a pit bull to raise unexpectedly. In the dream the name was Bacon. I woke up a resolved that if I ever got my act together enough to get a pit bull, their name sure as hell would be Bacon. I’m still trying to get there.

Haven't baked a cake in a while & had a few orangessitting on the workbench. It's tasty but I think there's more to explore here. Just a few questions to answer. For now, it's cake & my tummy is happy and I got away from the doomscrolling for a little while.

It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall.

But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"

Saw a reel today for saucisson et lentiles and I thought that would make a great dinner. Took myself to the store to make it. Damned if I can remember who posted the recipe but I’ll fret about that after I’m done eating. Not pictured: head of treviso about to get sautéed with some bacon.

Keep in mind that the regime is very good at pushing & pushing until people get pissed off & then pulling back a little & firing enough people that people stop screaming & then they start pushing again. They've done this over & over.

We're not winning in Minneapolis, they're just regrouping.

Needed to get out of the house. Breakfast at Taffi’s in Noe Valley. Didn’t realize how much my soul needed chilaquiles until they were in front of me. Perfect start to my day.

After the past three weeks of brutality in Minneapolis, it should no longer be possible to say that the Trump administration seeks merely to govern this nation. It seeks to reduce us all to a state of constant fear
