Hey all - Aji and Wings desperately need sales to make it through the end of the year, so I'm going to thread some of @wingsndnsilver.bsky.social 's posts of their jewelry here. The most reliable way to purchase is to email Aji at ndnsilverbywings (at) gmail (dot) com. All of these are handmade.

And this is why I never share anything by them, OD, or any of the others of their ilk. They're projects of the party and its apparatchiks, and they don't give a shit about justice, only about retaining their access and sinecures.
I'm double and triple checking to make sure I'm not just blind, but the closest Indivisible comes to demanding consequences for Renee Good's murderer seems to be "accountability", which is never defined further except as a way to "rein in" ICE.

They're just swapping buzz words.

Also: The Minnesota Historical Society has this flag but *doesn’t keep it on display,* because it’s, you know, a confederate flag and that’s gross.

So deeply Minnesotan. “We humiliated our opponent but the real prize is that we refuse to display the trophy. They know we have it.”
A good time to remind everyone of the Minnesota First. One of the earliest state militias to volunteer to fight in the Civil War—three years after joining the Union! Provided one of the essential turning points at Gettysburg. Took the flag of the Virginia regiment they captured AND STILL HAVE IT.

"Detain" and "two-year-old" are two things that should never appear in the same sentence.

Or universe.

Abomination.

And this "leadership" never will.

You want leadership, you're gonna have to oust them and replace them with people with morals, ethics, consciences, and spines.

And Valentine's Day is 3 weeks away!

We've also had two frankly terrible years. We have GOT to make this a better year, and that starts with *at least* one sale a week. So far, we're still a week behind, with an unexpected $650 cash expense last week, & medical costs next week.

Okay, tonight's inventory selections.

Today's feature is a pair of nearly-matching stackable cuffs [shown below], one in the imagery of "A Flowering Radiance," the other of "Luminous Night."

We have two pairs of earrings wrought in the same style, one for each sense and spirit.

This one is also formed of heavy-gauge half-round wire with a similar pattern. This one features slightly different 3D starbursts alternating with tiny 5-pointed stars, No filework, but the inner band is etched for texture.

Between each pair of sunbursts he stamped a smaller 8-petaled floral motif. At the midpoint of each side, he incised short, deep diagonal lines on the narrow edges, adding deeper parallel lines at either end, filework that wraps around the underside and edges.

The convex surface makes stampwork and other silversmithing techniques trickier than on flat surfaces, but Wings handled these beautifully. The top here is stamped freehand, end to end, in a repeating pattern of slightly 3D sunburst motifs, a stamp that wraps slightly around the slope of the edges.

It comes in all sorts of geometric shapes, flat, braid, twisted, bead, molded patterns, etc. Half-round wire is flat on the underside and convex on the top; from the end, it looks like a solid half-circle, hence the name.

"Wire" is a term of art for metals that poured, as molten ingot, into industrial-sized molds, very slender and very long, cooled, cut into lengths and typically sold by the foot.

This one is formed of heavy-gauge sterling silver half-round wire, which, as noted many times here before, is not "wire" in the usual sense at all, but solid silver.

This week's edition consists of two slender classic cuffs wrought in similar but unique styles. Wings created these contemporaneously, in the spring and with warmer winds in mind, but they suit our snowy winter conditions beautifully, too.

Now, tonight's local urgent needs. It's very late; I have had to be on my feet all day and my pain levels are off the charts. nothing's changed, so I'm quoting last night's thread.

The lows the next few days are supposed to be dangerously cold. Let's keep folks from freezing, hmm?
All right, tonight's urgent local needs.

We're under a winter storm warning. Nights this weekend? The kind of cold that kills.

Our local shelter is expanding hours/outreach to keep folks safe during this period. $78 could save a life: www.dreamtreeproject.org/codeblue.
