This has been, is, and will always be the problem with the US international stance: they won’t really condemn or punish countries breaking international laws because they want to keep the ability to do the same.

For Europeans, one of the saddest thing is comparing Germany’s and America’s fall into dictatorship. In 30s’ Germany there was the WWII humiliation, there was the aftermath of the 1929 economic shock. But America had nothing of that. In fact America had everything. Why?
