its crazy how one of the largest reasons for declining literacy is parents no longer have time to teach their kids reading as they are either single parents, both work a job, or have increased hours So they rely on our underfunded school system with over filled class sizes and outdated teaching mats

I remember the Olden Days when T0ky0P0p had the Sailor Moon license and they put out a whole pile of "novelizations", which were NOT APPROVED BY KODANSHA OR TAKEUCHI. This was why the Sailor Moon manga were out of print for over 10 years until Kodansha started their own US localization dept.
